Yikes!

For his birthday Carsen was given this cute little digital camera and so he can take pictures on his own. Good idea, right?! So, today he brings his camera over and I am looking through his pictures, oohing and ahhing at his skills when I come across something that made me want to die! He apparently took a picture of me while I was getting dressed..... That's right, I was half naked!! YIKES! I am glad that I saw these before he showed off his new skills to other family members, or worse yet, his friends! We had a nice long talk about appropriate picture taking.

I need to keep a closer eye on this kid, and frequently check his camera to make sure we won't be embarrassed! :) So please, if C asks you to check out his photography please tell him his mommy needs to check it out first. ;)

Fun with the boys

I think one of the best parts of being a mom is getting to play with your kids! How often as an adult can you "rock out" without people looking at you like you are crazy?!

Or gather every pillow and blanket in the area to build your own secret hideaway where you can go to get away from the giant tornado that is coming? And then pretend that you ARE the giant tornado and twirl around like a crazy woman.

And of course, in case you didn't know, celery is the perfect dinosaur food!!

Gems from Carsen

The past couple of days Carsen has made a few statements that have either had me trying not to laugh or scratching my head and trying to figure out where I went wrong. :)

To start off the string of comments yesterday he saw me looking at my friend Jayme's blog. As I scrolled down he saw a picture of her two cute little girls and he looked at me and asked who they were. I told him they were my friends little girls and his whole face lit up. I am sitting there thinking it is so sweet that he likes my friends daughters, and visions of arranged marriage are floating through my head when he looks at me and asks in a shocked voice , " Mommy you have a friend?!" I guess I need to get out more. :)

Then, last night about 20 minutes after we had finished dinner he asks for a snack. Of course I tell him no you just had dinner, but he continues to beg for a snack. I finally tell him that he should have eaten more dinner if he was still hungry to which he replies, " But Mom, you asked me 63 times if I was done eating my dinner, and so I finally just said yes and so you would stop asking, so you now you need to feed me a snack!"

Then this morning.... I really don't know how he came up with this one. He walks in and tells me that Griffen's mouth is like a toilet. Ummm ok Carsen how is your baby brother's mouth like a toilet?! He tells me that it is because " he makes noise and we plug him up."

Oh dear, he is such a boy.

Yard Sale

We are going to be having a yard sale tomorrow morning at my house at 7 am for anyone who would like to come and check it out. I am trying to clear out as much as possible before we sell our house!! I have got lots of kids items (boys in particular) :), some Game Cube video games, lots of house odds and ends, and even some vinyl lettering that is priced to sell! Stef is also bringing some things over to sell.... that is if I don't buy up all of her stuff first! :) I know that she has got a great 9 foot Christmas tree that she is parting with. So come on over, if you don't want to buy anything at least come and keep us company.... because I KNOW you are all going to be out at 7 on a Saturday morning! ha ha

A busy month

The end of September was spent in Tuscaloosa house hunting and enjoying Charles' work picnic. The kids had a great time, and Charles and I came home feeling especially tired.

It seems like October just started and here it is a third of the way through the month already! We are doing well at our house, busy, but well.

The month started off with Carsen attempting one of his daredevil feats and ending up in the emergency room getting his head stapled. He cried for about a minute and then was fine the rest of the night. I kept thinking that at least something good would come out of this and C wouldn't attempt another stunt like that again... I was wrong. We hadn't been home 30 minutes and he was doing the SAME THING.. only this time he was trying to get Parker to participate too. What am I going to do with this boy?! :)

Parker is still your typical two year old. You know.... He doesn't need help with ANYTHING and no matter how many times you tell him something isn't a good idea, he just has to try it anyway. He is a very independent and determined little boy who knows what he wants and how to make it happen.

Griffen is growing every day! His favorite place to be is cuddled in my arms, and while it definitely makes it harder to get things done I have to admit I love to cuddle with this little guy. He has also found his hands and likes to shove his whole fist in his mouth.

We, or I rather, have been keeping busy by trying to keep the house clean and ready to show at a moments notice. The boys have been keeping busy by making sure that I have something to clean up at all times. :) I have decided that my life would be very dull without these little guys keeping me on my toes.
