Pa Pa Love
A friend of mine recently posted a picture of her sweet little girl with her Pa Pa, and so I thought I would share some of the resons my boys LOVE their Pa Pa....
*He will let them eat anything they want whenever they want it
*He takes them for rides in his big red truck
*He takes them to the carwash and out to breakfast
* He will watch their cartoons with them... even when they have already seen them at least 20 times!
* He lets them play the "bubble" game on his cell phone
* He nibbles their tummies until they are rolling around laughing
* He buys them "bug juice" and other treats that mommy is way to mean to buy for them
* He loves them even when they bite him, throw their toys at him, and destroy his house.

The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
10 Years Ago: I had just left Utah after living there for 15 years and moved to Florence, South Carolina. I was half way through my ninth grade year and found out that none of the classes I had been taking in high school so far were going to transfer to my new school. So I was in a new place with new people at 15... not very happy.
My To-Do List: Put all the Christmas stuff into the attic..(ok really it is to get CHARLES to do this) Get everything ready for dinner so as soon as our Home Teachers finish up I can feed the kids and start the bed time routine. Spend LOTS of time with my grandparents who are in town. And enjoy a couple more evenings with Charles before he leaves.
5 places that I've lived:Portage, Utah - Tremonton, Utah - Florence, South Carolina -Chesapeake, Virginia - and three houses in Madison... my parents, mine and Charles' first house, and our new and current home.
5 jobs I have had: Food Lion ( My very first job), Becky's Hallmark in VA, Wallpaper warehouse, Jan's Hallmark, and SCS
Bad habits: Opening my mouth before I think
Things I enjoy: Charles!! My kids! Quiet family time when everyone gets along. Mcdonalds Fries dipped in a Wendy's Frosty. (bad I know) Alone time with a good book.
Things people don't know about me: Unlike most women I DON'T love chocolate! Growing up I was a tomboy and I wouldn't let my mom comb my hair. (thankfully I grew out of this) I talk to my mom almost everyday... ok so it is more like at least once every day! :)
I think everyone has done this but me... so I really don't need to tag anyone!

Parker the Great
This is one of Parker's favorite things to do!
It doesn't matter what it is, he wants to stand on top of it. The more unstable it is, the better chance there is that I will find him on top of it.
If it is close to something hard that would leave a great bruise on his face, you better believe he will climb on top of it.
If it is high enough that bones could be broken during a fall, he will do anything in his power to climb on top of it.
This little boy is a CLIMBER! Not only that, but he is a fearless climber.... Which as a mother makes me a nervous wreck. :)

Help
As many of you probably know we have been having some problems with Carsen and biting for quite awhile now. It seems like he goes in cycles, he will not bite at all for months at a time, and then out of the blue he bites Parker 5 times in one day! We have tried pretty much everything we can think of as well as following the advice of many friends and relatives, however NOTHING seems to work with this stubborn little boy. Any advice you may have would be greatly appreciated and welcome!
So.... yesterday was one of those horrible 5 bite days and Charles and I are at the end of our ropes. We talked to him repeatedly about not biting and about how sad it makes us and Parker when he is mean. Today as Charles was leaving he told Carsen to remember what we talked about and our little guy looks at us and says, " Can I just give Parker a little nibble?." What?! Does he think we will say , " sure son, as long as it's not a huge chomp it shouldn't be a problem." My dad has suggested finding a child sized hannibal lecter mask, and I have to say I am tempted to go looking for one. So, to prevent my child from being muzzled and me from going insane I am asking for help from anyone who may have a solution to our problem!
* by the way I am totally kidding about puting a muzzle on him, just incase you couldn't tell :))

Top Ten of 2007
Our big project
We have lived in this house for over a year now, and ever since we moved in I have wanted to paint the walls. When the house was built they used a low grade FLAT WHITE paint on all of the walls and it is just not compatible with two little boys! It took a matter of days after moving in before the walls were all scuffed up and looking pretty sad. So this past week we have finally started to paint our sad walls, and I am SO happy! My mom and Jess helped me out with the living room, dining room, and kitchen. And this weekend Charles helped me paint our enormous foyer! It was a lot of work, but it feels so good to have most of the main level finished. Charles and I had a really good time on Saturday and it was so nice to spend some time alone.... even if we had to work the whole time. He even left me a sweet message on the wall... awwww
So.. we are finished for the moment and I am breathing a big sigh of relief!
