I thought I would post a quick update on how Parker is doing with his potty training. I am happy to say that he is pretty much 100% day time potty trained! He is still wearing a diaper to bed at night, but during the day I have switched him over to underwear and he has yet to have an accident. He asks to use the bathroom and has truly amazed me with how determined he is to use the potty. The only struggle we are currently having is that when he "poops" he has to stand up after each and every little deposit and we have to dump, flush, and clean the little potty before he will sit down and finish. This typically turns into a 30 minute session, but thankfully it's usually only once a day! :) Charles jokes we may be saving money on diapers, but we are going to end up paying it on our water bill. :)

I'm so not ready for this
Within the past week Parker has decided that he wants to start potty training. I am not one to push my kids to do things if they aren't ready, and I hadn't even considered starting to potty train him until he was closer to three. However, here we are a month before his second birthday and he is insisting on using the potty. I suppose I should be grateful, and in some ways I am, but I have to admit that I was not ready to do this right now.... he is supposed to still be my baby....isn't he?!

Imagination
As I was getting ready for the day Carsen was playing in our upstairs family room. He was being very quiet and so as I walked in to check on him I prepared myself for complete and total chaos. Instead this is what I found..

I asked him what he had built and he told me that it was the "Liberty of Statue". It still amazes me the things that he comes up with. He helped start my day off with a smile.

Noodle Art
The boys and I had fun the other day playing with our food! I colored an assortment of noodles and then let the boys use them to "draw" on construction paper. They had a great time, and best of all I didn't have to worry about them eating the art supplies... because you know that someone always does!

Belated Easter
Things have been beyond crazy around here lately, but I will save that for another post. I thought I would just post some pictures of our Easter fun since that is about all I have time for. I promise I will catch up again soon!

These are from an egg hunt and egg coloring at Grandpa and Grandma Wights. There is also a picture of our finished eggs... after Parker helped them fall on the floor! :)

Its a....

Precious baby BOY!! Dr. Nix had no trouble getting our little one to show him his "boy parts". It was by far the best ultrasound I have ever had. This sweet little baby cooperated completely and I was amazed at how well we could see him. We had a great profile view of him and we could see his little hand, including fingers and thumb, opening and closing. He opened his mouth for us a couple of times, which I think Charles thought was great. We could also see his little legs kicking at my tummy. I can't even describe how it felt to be able to see this perfect little person moving around and feel him at the same time. I truly can't wait to meet this little guy!

Yes, we are still alive!
I know it has been FOREVER since I last posted. We have just been really busy and/or sick most of the past couple weeks. I think the worst of it is over and we are on our way to being well.
For those of you who don't know today is the "big ultrasound" in which we will hopefully be finding out if we will be adding a little girl, or another little boy to our family. I promise that I will post later tonight or tomorrow and let everyone know what we find out.
Until then here are a few fun pictures from the other day when David and Jessica gave me a few hours of peace and took the boys to the park.
